Sgt. Andrew G. Park, Co. B, 154th Regt., N.Y.S. Vol. Inf. He enlisted at Leon at age 19 and was captured by the Confederates during a foraging expedition in Greene County, North Carolina, in March 1865. On that occasion he witnessed the execution of two of his regimental comrades after their capture by the enemy. He was paroled two months later and mustered out in June 1865 at New York City. Park died at Dayton in 1915 and is buried in Park Lawn Cemetery there.
