Citizens Advocating Memorial Preservation (CAMP) was formed for the purpose of preserving the Cattaraugus County Memorial and Historical Building in Little Valley, New York, and urging its restoration and reuse. CAMP was successful at stopping the demolition of this building, and ended up purchasing it when all was said and done. This is a Civil War Memorial site, which while closed to the public most of the time, does host events and will display Civil War items, with future plans to welcome the public.
Citizens Advocating Memorial Preservation (CAMP) is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit organization that continues to work towards the preservation, restoration, reuse, and re-dedication of the Civil War Memorial complex in Little Valley, Cattaraugus County, NY. This complex is the region’s most significant Civil War memorial to the local men who fought for Cattaraugus County during the American Civil War.
CAMP has now begun the arduous task of preservation and restoration. As of January 1, 2018, they are able to offer supporters an individual membership opportunity to CAMP. This membership will add you to the organization as an active supporter and include you as part of this successful preservation project in honor and memory of Civil War Veterans. A gift made at the amount of $20.00 or more will automatically make you an individual member of CAMP. For couples, a gift of $40.00 or more will give you and your partner two individual memberships of CAMP and so on. Please consider supporting CAMP by donating on their website or following their Facebook Page.
