Woodworth, Joseph

Born 1755 in Old Lebanon, Conn.

Died May 21, 1842 at Napoli, Catt. Co. N.Y. Buried at Elm Creek.

Served four years in Revolution from Conn. Enlisted Jan.1, 1776 in Capt. Dyer's Co. Col. Durkee's Reg't. Participated in Battles of Harlem and Trenton. Was with Gen. Wayne at Stony Point and present at the Surrender of Burgoyne. Later in New Jersey Campaign and at Valley Forge.

Married as 2nd wife-Weity Parks Couse, who was born in 1760.

Received pension from Madisen Co. in 1818.

Received a pension of $48.00 per annum in the United States service. He was placed on Pension roll Feb. 1,1823 and was raised in 1834. (Though his name appears on list of Pensioners from Catt.Co.1833-34, it may have been for service in the War of 1812, instead of the Revolution.) J.G.P.)

Came from Whitehall, N.Y. about 1817 and located first at Ischua, the(n) moved to Franklinville, Catt.Co.N.Y.

He served in the Connecticut Troops. (J.G.P.)

Born April 11, 1745, probably in Rhode Island.

Died March 22, 1833 in Freedom, Catt.Co.N.Y.

His wife was Barbara Eddy- Born July 22, 1746. Died July 20, 1828.

He served as a private in Vermont Militia
