Daniel Carpenter
A Revolutionary War veteran with ties to Cattaraugus County.
Birth: December 25, 1761, in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
Death: August 18, 1840; believed to be buried in Portville, NY.
Military Service: Enlisted July 9, 1780, in the New Hampshire Militia under Col. Nichols. Later served in the Massachusetts Line under Capt. Jacob Fuller.
Family: Married Mary Thompson in New Hampshire (1784). She applied for a widow's pension in 1846 while living in Richmond, NH.
