Perrysburg Historical Museum

Tucked into the most Northwest corner of Cattaraugus county surrounded by the borders of Erie and chautauqua counties, is the Township of Perrysburg.

The museum is found in the Town Hall in the village of Perrysburg and is open the last Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon or by contacting the historian or town clerk and an appointment can be set. Many local artifacts have found a good home within the walls of the museum, formally the school house. Prize possessions are the minature of the JN Adam Tuberculosis Sanitarium made in the late 1930's showing the entire campus of the institution in perfect scale; a signature quilt made in the 1850's by local women to accompany a family leaving the area for the west and returned from the west coast in 1980's to its original home; a wonderful genealogy library as well as many other fine pieces of history including Native American displays, one room school house histories and post office and war memorabilia.
