2019 Heritage Day at the SINM
Saturday, June 8, 2019 - 10:00am to 5:00pm

Join the new Onöhsagwë:de’ Cultural Center and Seneca-Iroquois National Museum for a day of Seneca Heritage!  Celebrate the rich heritage of the Seneca-Iroquois people and learn some of their customs, see their traditional clothing, and experience their dance.  There will be artists and craftors demonstrating and selling their work, an Atlatl competition, Traditional Foods contest, Storytelling, Traditional Dancing, local groups fundraisers, and Robert Griffing will be there, displaying his Artwork.  This is the 3rd annual event that continues to grow each year.  On display currently at the Museum, is the 227 year old Peace Pipe-Tomahawk that was given to Chief Cornplanter from George Washington in hopes to end years of battle, murder, and crimes.
